Join Dr. Jessica Temple for Formal Affair Part II: Sonnets and Ballad Stanza

In the second half of this class, we’ll expand our new knowledge of rhyme and meter to two classic forms: the sonnet and the ballad stanza. We’ll define the characteristics of each form and study examples from Shakespeare and traditional folk Ballads to contemporary versions of the forms. Then, we’ll write!
