FREE Storytelling Workshops

Everyone has a story to tell. Let us help you tell it in the best way possible. Join fellow storytellers in the Out Loud HSV Studio 260, second floor south of Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, for a writing a performance critique led by Kimberly Casey. This workshop is designed to get your true story stage ready for the Stories Under the Stars events at Burritt on the Mountain. Utilize storytelling techniques, get feedback from other storytellers on how to improve your work, and learn how to engage your audience from the very start. We’ll give feedback on tone, cadence, pacing, and body language – everything you need to know in order to have the best performance. Bring one copy of your story to read aloud to the group. Your story should be no longer than 7 minutes.
