Out Loud Huntsville will continue hosting events at Straight to Ale on the Third Sundays of the month, so mark your calendars!

This month’s open mic will be limited to 10 slots to make time for our featured poet, Stephen Wing!

Stephen Wing discovered the wilderness in the summer after 9th grade, canoeing the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, and suddenly the world makes sense. He is the author of five poetry collections, including Wild Atlanta (2023), inspired by the city’s many urban greenspaces; Washed in the Hurricane (2024), exploring nature as wilderness, nature as human habitat, and our changing climate; and Honk If You're Awake! (2026), collecting four decades of political poetry. He lives in Atlanta, where he serves on the boards of the Lake Claire Community Land Trust and Nuclear Watch South and writes a monthly blog called "Wingtips."
