Out Loud Huntsville is back with a 10 spot open mic at Straight to Ale, followed by a feature with Grace Dellis!

Grace Dellis has been a member of Out Loud Huntsville since September 2022 and has served on the board since January 2023. Her work has appeared in various journals, anthologies, and podcasts, and she has taught workshops on the ways in which poetry can help us process grief and trauma. She holds a degree in Rhetoric and spends her days working to make non-traditional education more accessible across Alabama, mothering two beautiful sons, and writing poetry. Her first chapbook, Signs and Wonders, was published by Bottlecap Press in 2023; How To: Life Lessons in Poetry is her second chapbook.

Join us on May 19th at The Speakeasy at Straight to Ale. Doors/Signup at 6 PM, and the show will start promptly at 6:30 PM. Sign up and share your poetry, short stories, a piece of fiction, or any form of literary wordy goodness! Readers will get 5 minutes to share their work, please respect the time limit. Note that there will be only 10 spots this month to accommodate for the featured performer.
