Out Loud HSV Featuring Lino Anunciacion

Out Loud HSV monthly open mic and features create a space for literary arts and spoken word to grow! Join us in the Flying Monkey Theater on the second floor south of Lowe Mill for this special event. $5 suggested admission. Come early to sign up for the open mic, where you will have 5 minutes to share your work. Then we will have a 30 minute feature with Lino Anunciacion!

Lino Anunciacion is a Texas-transplant spoken word artist based in Bryan, Texas. He serves as President of Mic Check Poetry, a 501(c)3 non-profit poetry organization, and Director of Texas Grand Slam Poetry Festival, the largest individual poetry festival in Texas. He is the author of And Then You Begin To Sing, as well as four other books. He works as the Senior Media Manager for Write Bloody Publishing and studies full time at Texas A&M University, while teaching weekly poetry workshops in the B/CS community


Out Loud is dedicated to fostering new voices and encouraging participation, so even if you have never been to an open mic before, please come on down and hear some new interesting voices and share! This is a free show, but donations are strongly encouraged. Doors at 6:00, show begins at 6:30.
