Join us for an author meet at greet with Jessica Temple on March 4th as we celebrate the addition of her book, Seamless and Other Legends, to the shelves of the Out Loud HSV Studio. The event runs from 10am-2pm with a live poetry reading at noon. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. Come purchase a book and enjoy some poetry with us!
About the Author: Jessica Temple grew up in Alabama. She holds a BA in English from the University of Alabama, an MA in from Mississippi State University, and a PhD in creative writing - poetry from Georgia State University. She writes and voices shows for the syndicated poetry college radio program melodically challenged and teaches at Alabama A&M University. She has read for the journals Jabberwock Review, New South, and Five Points. She has won poetry contests from The Alabama State Poetry Society, The League of Minnesota Poets, Loose Change Magazine, and The Cotton District Arts Festival and has been a finalist with Aesthetica and The Agnes Scott College Writers' Festival. Her work is forthcoming or has recently appeared in The Rumpus; Aesthetica; Blast Furnace; Canyon Voices; Stone, River, Sky: An Anthology of Georgia Poems from Negative Capability Press; Loose Change Magazine; Red Clay Review; Birmingham Arts Journal; Crab Orchard Review; and A Year in Review: Out Loud HSV 2016.
