Rainbow Roulette: An Exploration of Art as a Protective Factor in Navigating the Queer Experience

Rainbow Roulette will be an opportunity for attendees to reconcile the complexities of the Queer Experience through a series of interactive activities. The colors of the rainbow will be utilized to explore certain barriers, intricacies, and nuances within LGBTQ+ culture and how art accompanies these aspects. Examples include:

Red: Passion and Romance: Exploring art as a safe space for exploring themes of sexual and romantic intimacy within a mass culture that hypersexualizes LGBTQ+ persons.

Orange: Strength: Exploring art as building ground for resilience-building and reclamation of narrative.

Yellow: Joy: Exploring queer liberation and the complex ways in which our joy exists.

This is a free class, with a $10 suggested donation. Donations can be made at outloudhsv.com/donate
