Join us in the Barking Dog Arts Theater for an 8 spot open mic! readers get 5 minutes to share their work. Poetry, fiction, nonfiction, etc. all welcome! Following the open mic will be a feature with Sara Bowen! Then we will have an 8 spot poetry slam.

Sara Bowen is a potter from South Alabama, who makes botanic functional pots with patterns and images based on her natural surroundings and favorite flora. Her ceramic installation and gallery work focuses on creating other-worldly spaces, often featuring light, fiber, and poetry. You can find her making and selling her wheel-thrown pottery from her studio in Huntsville, AL at Barking Dog Arts, 2nd Floor South at Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment (studio 255).
