Join us in the Barking Dog Arts Theater for an 8 spot open mic! readers get 5 minutes to share their work. Poetry, fiction, nonfiction, etc. all welcome! Following the open mic will be a feature with Sam Mitchell! Then we will have an 8 spot poetry slam.

Realizing that he couldn’t fly at the tender young age of three, Sam Mitchell decided that he would have to draw to gain the freedom he was looking for. Post childhood, he became a graphic designer, and to this day he still scribbles images that make him fly. His superheroes include Norm Abram, Peter Parker, and Phil Collins. When he’s not drawing, designing, he pretends to be a storyteller. Sam is host and cofounder of Tin Can Stories and a proud member of Out Loud HSV.
